Thickwood Lodge: Grade II Listed Hybrid Heating System

A mixture of old and new in the Peak District National Park. This Grade II Listed building features a modern extension with low energy use at its heart. The homeowners wanted the modern extension to be as efficient as possible using a ground source heat pump and a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery system to satisfy the buildings heating needs. Due to the listed status of the existing building Mantis Energy had to design a hybrid heating system that could provide high heating temperatures as efficiently as possible to the listed part of the building that cannot be insulated.
