The homeowners wanted a large family home with low running costs and no gas on site. Mantis Energy designed an underfloor heating system powered by a ground source heat pump and a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery unit (MVHR) to recover heat from the kitchen and bathrooms. In addition to this the homes benefits from solar PV panels, solar thermal panels, battery storage and an electric car charger.
