SUMMARY

As our Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the support and delivery of our electrical services design projects.

Your clients will come from a wide range of sectors including Domestic, Commercial and Public Buildings. The majority of your teams’ projects will relate to Building Services Design; however, you will also work closely with the Low Energy Building Design & Project Management Team.

Typically, electrical projects will include: Internal, External and Emergency Lighting, Small Power System, Fire & Security Systems, Cable Containment, LV & HV Electrical Distribution, Cable Sizing / Amtech Calculations, Plant Room Design, Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, Battery Storage Systems and Project Management Support Activities. We anticipate that you will take great pride in the quality of your work and all associated deliverables.

  • Total Compensation Package £34,345 (Base + benefits)

  • Communicating with external specialist energy assessors
  • Liaising with specialist M & E designers and providing design input
  • Managing working relationships with architects and individual clients
  • Providing reports and communicating findings with architects and clients
  • Assessing buildings for low carbon technologies (Solar PV, Heat Pumps, Batteries, EV Charging Stations, etc.)
  • Organise various specialist energy surveys & consultancy work (SBEM, PHPP, Air Pressure, Thermal Imaging, Damp Specialists, Borehole Inspections)
  • Data gathering, reviewing CAD drawings and 3D models
  • Creation of CAD drawings, Schematics and Design Packages
  • Use of Renewable Energy heating and power simulation software
  • Planning & supervising new building and existing building retrofit installations
  • Attending site surveys to gather data, document work progress and write reports
  • Assisting the creation, improvement and evaluation of company internal processes
