At Mantis, we are committed to delivering more than just low-carbon solutions. We believe every project should create lasting value for the communities we work in.
Change starts with us
We know real change starts with us, which is why we dedicate 1% of our annual revenue to provide continual investment in social value projects in the communities we serve regardless of contractual commitments. We know our drive towards change includes more than just financial contributions which is why we get stuck in from the ground up by engaging in community volunteering projects, environmental causes and bio-diversity initiatives.
We work alongside project stakeholders to identify the issues at the heart of our communities and provide tailored social value plans to offer the most relevant support for developments across the UK and engage with a wide range of causes from food banks and conservation initiatives to support for apprenticeships and upskilling.
Working for our Communities
At Mantis, we believe social value starts with people.
For us, it’s not just about installing sustainable energy systems— it’s about making a real difference in the communities we work with. We want to help families save on energy costs, support local groups in becoming more resilient, and inspire the next generation through education and awareness. By working closely with schools, businesses, and residents, we make sure our projects reflect the needs of the community.
Together, we can reduce carbon footprints, create opportunities, and build healthier, more connected places for everyone to enjoy both now and in the future.
Continual Impact
We measure and allocate 37 hours per staff member annually (around 650 hours total) for social value initiatives driven by community needs. Our support often includes:
- Local energy efficiency support workshops for social and vulnerable tenants
- Funded assessments and energy plans for charity and community buildings
- Educational talks for local schools, colleges & Universities
- Community volunteering
Our commitments extend beyond the expected into real change initiatives, our team look to inspire future generations of engineers and renewable experts, provide expert advice to those most in need, assist in futureproofing buildings for underfunded charities and give our time to enhancing much needed green space in local areas.

Our social value contribution to date
We measure our impact using the National TOM’s to ensure we remain accountable to our commitments, this allows us to accurately report year upon year and continue to monitor and support meaningful relationships with our communities. Through local employment, carbon reduction, supply chain support, and community initiatives, we have already created significant impact and will commit to doing so for years to come.
