Mantis successfully delivered a single-dwelling whole house retrofit pilot for Stockport Housing Group in Greater Manchester, upgrading a the home in line with PAS2035 retrofit standards.
This project demonstrates our capacity to provide whole house end-to-end turnkey retrofit services in partnership with local authorities.
Scope of Works
As Principal Contractor and Retrofit Coordinator, Mantis Energy managed and delivered the following multi-measure improvements using the Procure Plus materials framework:
- Installation of Air Source Heat Pump system
- Integration of Solar PV and Battery Storage
- Ventilation system upgrades to ensure IAQ compliance
- Upgraded existing windows to triple glazed window replacements to improve airtightness and thermal performance
- Upgraded existing doors to fully insulated / triple glazed doors
- Fabric upgrades to internal elements and structure including solid floor insulation, internal wall insulation / replastering with thermal bridge free window design, pitched roof insulation details and loft insulation
- Installation of low energy lighting
All technologies were installed by MCS and PAS2030:19 accredited installers, ensuring full compliance with PAS2035 and TrustMark requirements.

Services Provided
Mantis Energy undertook complete project responsibility, including:
- M&E design and fabric specification
- Management of all site preliminaries, logistics, scaffolding, and materials
- Oversight of snagging, making good, and quality assurance
- Provision of regular performance reports to the client
- Ongoing monitoring of install status and proactive identification of scope changes
This approach ensured delivery on time and within budget, while maintaining full compliance with PAS2035 and Building Regulations.
