Jericho Lodge is a modern superhome in Manchester designed to combine luxury living with low carbon technology. Mantis provided full Mechanical & Electrical design, ensuring the home delivers comfort, efficiency, and renewable energy generation throughout.
Heating, Cooling & Ventilation
The home features underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump, supported by a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system to maximise efficiency. Bedrooms also benefit from discreet air conditioning to maintain comfort during warmer months.
Renewable Energy Integration
A second air source heat pump was designed to heat the swimming pool, while a large solar PV array provides on-site electricity generation. This combination reduces reliance on the grid and significantly lowers the property’s running costs.
Collaborative Design Approach
Working alongside Studio OL3, Mantis delivered designs from concept through to detailed layouts and schematics. Our services included SAP and EPC calculations, overheating assessments, drainage design, and utility procurement to support the full build process.
