About Us
Our Story
Mantis Energy was founded in 2018 by our Managing Director, Mike Foat, with a simple goal: to help change the way the construction industry approaches sustainability. What started out as a small business working on domestic projects has grown into a company that now delivers large-scale renewable energy and building upgrade solutions across the UK.
From the beginning, we’ve been driven by the UK’s net zero targets, working to make a practical difference in how buildings are designed, upgraded, and powered. Over the years, our work has expanded from homes into commercial and public sector projects, where we design and install renewable technologies and help future-proof buildings of all sizes.
Today, our team has grown to nearly 20 people, and we’re proud to manage projects nationwide. While we’ve grown, our mission has stayed the same: making sustainable construction and renewable technology part of everyday building practice.

Our vision is to help the UK meet its 2050 Net Zero Carbon targets for buildings by supporting public sector and commercial clients in designing, constructing, and managing low-energy, high-performance spaces. We’re committed to making a measurable impact, reducing carbon emissions, improving efficiency, and delivering sustainable buildings that benefit organisations, communities, and the environment.

Beyond our core projects, our team is proud to contribute over 100 volunteer hours each year to community initiatives and local charities. We also commit 1% of our annual revenue to social value, ensuring we make a tangible difference where it matters most. This contribution is shared across a range of initiatives
